"First of all - WOW! It is such a beautiful guitar with many cool features. All of the different woods compliment each other so well and the Zebrawood adds such a cool flair. I also love the asymmetrical headstock - kinda rock and roll. I am very impressed with the sound quality, as most thin body guitars I've played are compromised in that area - NOT THIS ONE! The neck is just the right size, not to thin or fat. The built in tuner and pickups have come in very handy when jamming with my friends. I love this guitar!"

Thought I'd let you know how great the guitar is you built for me. Many of us pickers have some kind of wish list of features we would like to have all rolled up into one perfect guitar. Unfortunately buying it off the rack that just wasn't gonna happen. That's where your expertise as a builder came in. You took the time to compile all of my wants and needs and package it into this fantastic instrument. I own Martin, Gibson, Goya and Fenders, while they are all really nice guitars, but every one of them has something I would change. So I made a detailed list of what I was looking for such as: body shape, tone woods, nut width, neck profile, neck connect, pickguard, etc. My list was long, but you checked off all the boxes. I encourage any musician out there reading this to consider a Gary Dyer Custom Guitar designed to fit your specific needs, it's definitely worth it.

My wife was there when I delivered the Bass to Dan, she said, "That is the biggest grin I've ever seen," as he was cradling it in his arms.
After having his bass for awhile, Dan sent me this text, "This dog will hunt!!"
I had to laugh as this has been his demeanor throughout the build...lol! A man of few words, but very knowledgeable as to what he wanted. It was by far one of the easiest builds in terms of hardware. All I had to do was design everything else, he knew exactly what he wanted for strings, tuners, pickups, bridge, fret wire and knobs. I usually spend a few weeks nailing down these items with the customer!

Oh baby!!! Not only is my new Gary Dyer custom bass absolutely beautiful, it is also perfect for me and exactly what I wanted. Gary took my input and worked his magic, and kept me updated every step of the way through the build. The process was so exciting to get those updates and pictures nearly every week, seeing it all come together like a dream come true. The bass is inspired by Black Sabbath but not really intended to be a tribute, although it feels like one with Ozzy's recent final show and passing. Rest in peace, Oz. But with Tony Iommi's cross inlays and Geezer's pick-ups, it looks Sabbath worthy and it freakin' rocks! Gary started with a few options on choice of wood, I went with a maple neck and fretboard with African mahogany on the body. I asked for the lightest black stain he could manage over the mahogany body and headstock so that some of that gorgeous mahogany grain might show through, and he nailed it! Not only does the grain show through but the grain lines perfectly match her curves. Every detail is just stunning... from the heart shaped cutout on the body and the "C" shaped cutout on the headstock, to the mahogany brown skunk stripes, to the custom volume and tone knobs, to the black stripe down the neck and the GD logo on the headstock, to those beautiful black mother of pearl cross inlays. Gary's work is top notch. The bass is lighter than my others, has all the hardware and electronics/pick-ups that I wanted, and plays and feels like a dream. The neck is thin and fast and the action is smooth as buttah. The tone of the EMG Geezer Butler P/J style pick-ups give me the old-school 70's vibe and sound I was looking for. I can adjust the volume of each to dial in so many different tones. This thing is versatile! I'm totally in love with her. There are just no words to properly thank Gary for building my absolute dream bass. I need to practice a whole lot more because I don't feel worthy of such a gorgeous and amazing instrument. She is a work of art and a true masterpiece! Now I just need to figure out her name...
